Small Acts Make a Big Impact

Sunday, February 17 is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. You can take advantage of this special day to show our watersheds some kindness, too. Here are a few ways to put a spin on the day and to spread random acts of kindness for friends, family and the watershed.

  • Help Yourself: Be kind to yourself with some time to exercise. You can walk, run, or hike in the watershed.
  • Help the Watershed: Practice kindness by picking up any trash you see along the way
  • Favor for A Friend: Treat your friend to a car wash. At home, be sure to use a biodegradable, water-based cleaner. If you go to a car wash, be sure to choose a service that recycles water.
  • Spread the Word: Help others learn more about caring for the watershed. Pass along this newsletter to a friend. Share on social media.
