Reporting pollution is the number one way Riverside County residents can help improve water quality. Pollution prevention helps us reduce the cost of waste management and cleanup as well as the reduction of health problems and environmental damage. By preventing pollution, we are protecting the environment and conserving important natural resources.
The types of reportable pollution include damage, discharge, or illegal dumping in storm drains, dams, basins, levees and/or channels.
What To Do When You See Pollution:
- Take a picture of it
- Know the location
- Try to locate the source (if any)
- Call (800) 506-2555, regular business hours are Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or fill out the online form at https://rcwatershed.org/get-involved/report-pollution/
We appreciate your input and commitment to helping us maintain our water quality healthy for everyone!
